The Maintenance Technician ensures the optimal performance of plant equipment through the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems. This role plays a key part in maintaining the sites operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with food safety standards.
Position Schedule:
<ul>
 <li>Monday Friday, Day Shift, 40 hours per week</li>
 <li>Overtime as needed</li>
 <li>Rotating on-call coverage with the maintenance supervisor and other maintenance technicians</li>
</ul>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ol>
 <li>Safety & Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly work environments, emphasizing food safety standards. 
</li>
 <li>Preventative Maintenance:Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems to reduce downtime. 
</li>
 <li>Electrical Systems:Install and troubleshoot electrical circuits, including diagnosing faults in control panels, motors, and wiring. 
</li>
 <li>Welding:Conduct sanitary TIG welding for production equipment and facility modifications, ensuring compliance with food safety and GMP standards. 
</li>
 <li>Pump Maintenance:Replace and maintain sanitary and industrial pump seals, ensuring proper alignment and sealing in fluid-handling equipment. 
</li>
 <li>Emergency Repairs:Respond promptly to emergency or unscheduled repairs of production machinery and utility services. 
</li>
</ol>
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Required:
<ul>
 <li>High school diploma/GED with a completed craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience</li>
 <li>4+ years of manufacturing plant maintenance and repair experience</li>
 <li>Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, including industrial HVAC</li>
 <li>Competence in electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC</li>
 <li>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook</li>
 <li>Awareness of and strict adherence to safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)</li>
 <li>Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal job instructions</li>
 <li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively</li>
 <li>Proficiency in reading safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and written procedures</li>
 <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams</li>
 <li>Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
 <li>Availability for on-call duties during evenings and weekends</li>
</ul>
Preferred:
<ul>
 <li>Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation</li>
 <li>Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and FDA compliance</li>
</ul>
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
<ul>
 <li>Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment or materials as needed</li>
 <li>Work may include exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and machinery in an industrial setting</li>
</ul>
